General Terms

Appointment Policies: Please give us a minimum of 24 hours notice if you need to cancel your appointment.

Pricing: No price matching. Purchase price is final as of date of deposit or first payment. Our policy is to use the advertised MSRP that was in effect on the date of your estimate and/or deposit payment. This policy ensures consistency and fairness for all our customers; while we understand that a sale, promotional offer, or price drop may become available after a purchase, we are unable to provide retroactive price adjustments.

No Asshole Policy: It's easy to be kind, and a lot harder to be rude. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone and do not tolerate discrimination or harassment of any kind.

Privacy Policy: In some cases, we need to share bike and purchase information with the manufacturer. We never sell or transfer your personal information to an unrelated third party.

Return Policy

Return Policy: All returns subject to approval. All accessories are returnable within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. Any returns must have a receipt, original packaging, and be in new condition. All bikes, subject to approval, are returnable within 30 days of purchase, with a 10% restocking fee applied. All clearance, floor bike, demo bike, and demo accessory sales are final. Custom-ordered bikes are non-returnable after the 48-hour deposit refund period.

New Bike Purchase Policies

Deposit Policy: A $500 deposit is required to reserve a bike. Deposits are fully refundable within 48 hours of payment. After 48 hours, deposits are non-refundable as we place your order with our vendors. By placing a deposit, you are entering into a binding purchase agreement.

Cancellation Policy: If you cancel your custom bike order after the 48-hour refund period, your $500 deposit is forfeited and you will be charged a 10% restocking fee on the total bike price to cover labor, credit card processing fees, and resale efforts.

Tariff & Price Adjustment Policy: Pricing is locked at time of deposit and protected against normal manufacturer price changes. In the event of new government tariffs or import fees imposed after your deposit, we will notify you of any cost increase and you may accept the new price or receive a full refund. Backordered bikes are subject to price adjustments if tariffs increase costs between order and delivery dates. Tariff increases are the only circumstance under which deposits become refundable after 48 hours.

Delivery Timeline: Bikes typically arrive in 2-3 weeks and require approximately 1 week for professional assembly. We will notify you when your bike arrives and enters our build queue, and again when it's ready for pickup. Delays due to vendor or shipping issues are beyond our control. You must complete your purchase within 30 days of bike arrival notification. After 30 days, the bike may be offered for resale and cancellation fees apply.

2-Month Free Adjustments: Every new bike purchase includes free basic adjustments for the first 2 months: brake and shifting cable adjustments, tire inflation, and quick safety checks. This service is limited to 30 minutes per visit. Parts, component replacements, and repairs are not included and will be billed separately at standard rates.

Customer of the Month Contest

By entering Customer of the Month, you grant Offbeat Bikes permission to share your submitted photos on our social media channels and website. We'll always credit you and tag your account when we feature your content. You retain ownership of your photos. Contest open to current Offbeat Bikes customers only. Winner selected monthly via random drawing. Swag pack available for local pickup at our Chicago shop. We reserve the right to modify or cancel the contest at any time.
